Hello! My name is Patty Alleman, the breeder behind Talavera Bostons. When I was 11 yeard old I decided that showing dogs would be fun, little did I know it would become a life-long dedication to the Boston Terrier breed.
Initially, I wanted a Pug to show and a friend introduced us to a local breeder. She didn't have any Pugs at the time, but she did have a litter of Bostons. I immediately clicked with the tiniest puppy of them all, a bossy brindle with lovely markings. 5 weeks later, we brought home Lucky J's Lady Godiva Of Koch aka "Dee".
One thing led to another and I got into the breeding aspect of showing. Many generations later, I'm extremely pleased with my Boston Terrier line, which is still (distantly) related to Dee.
In addition to breeding Bostons, I handle dogs for the AKC conformation ring. I have been very blessed to have shown some wonderful dogs for equally wonderful people representing all of the AKC groups.
Bostons for us are a friends & family affair. I am looking forward to passing my love and dedication to purebred dogs in the years to come to the next generation through my two children. I co-breed many of our litters with my mom Liz, and my friend Amanda.
